VOSS Automotive Ltda. awarded by Cummins Brazil

As part of the 3rd Local Suppliers Conference of Cummins Brazil on February 24th in São Paulo, VOSS Automotive Ltda. was presented with the “South America ABO Supplier Award - 2014” in the category “Supplier of the year – Six Sigma.” The award recognized the achievements of VOSS for its annual material savings of 2 tons, as well as the cost savings from the use of the new quick connect system 246 NX in the engines.

Cummins Brazil was the first customer worldwide to use the products of the new 246 NX system family. As a result, the company benefits from considerable cost savings and the outstanding technical properties.

The “South America ABO Supplier Award – 2014” was given exclusively to suppliers that met all the targets of the “Cummins Balance Score Card 2014.” The targets predominantly relate to the areas of quality management, environmental system, delivery performance, PPM, reaction time, and six sigma projects.
VOSS is very proud of the award from Cummins and thanks this important customer for their recognition.

The business relations between Cummins and VOSS Brazil:

VOSS Brazil delivered its first products to Cummins Brazil in 2005 during the adaptation phase of Euro III engines. Since then, the business relations have been continuously further developed and the scope of products delivered has multiplied: From fuel and coolant lines to valves and adapters. Now the Diadema plant also delivers to Cummins outside of Brazil, in Great Britain, the USA, and Asia, as well as to spare parts centers in Mexico and Belgium.

The current award opens up the possibility of an even closer collaboration between the companies in order to develop the application areas of the new 246 NX system family and thus also to benefit jointly from this quick connect system in Cummins units in the future.
