VOSS SCR lines are becoming intelligent. They now not only transport the medium AdBlue® from point A to point B and can reliably thaw the frozen medium so that the SCR system is ready for dosing - now VOSS SCR lines also allow the fluid properties (pressure, temperature, concentration) in the line to be identified. The functional scope of VOSS SCR lines is thus significantly expanded, sensibly and to the advantage of the customers.

After investments in a new injection molding department in Diadema, Brazil, the plant there can manufacture with three machines and diverse casting molds for the injection of plug connectors for compressed air brakes, fuel, coolant and other systems. The ground plan of the hall is designed so that three additional machines can be set up in a second step.

After ten months’ construction time, a modern new structure has been built. With the Technical Center, in short PTC (Polymer Technology Center), VOSS has established enhanced competence in the technological fields of plastic injection molding, tube extrusion and connecting technology such as friction, laser and ultrasonic welding at the Wipperfürth site in Germany. On a site covering 1,100 m², it thus opens up a completely new field of activity at VOSS Automotive for employees in a variety of specialist functions.
VOSS China starts production of SCR lines

After successful establishment of SCR production in Poland and Mexico, SCR lines are now also being produced in our VOSS plant in China. Our desire for a production plant in Asia arose from the surrounding customers, whereby we could cater for the markets in China, Japan and Korea with relatively short supply channels. It is planned to ensure a stable production volume of 750,000 heated and unheated SCR lines annually at the plant.
The PA crisis has been tackled

It has been eight months since an explosion brought the production plant at Evonik Industries in Marl to a standstill. The consequences: The intermediate product Cyclododecatriene (CDT), and therefore the important Polyamide 12, could no longer be produced. The line at the chemical park has been repaired in the meantime, and production has resumed. However, it will take until the second quarter for the full production volumes of PA12 to be back in place.

MAN Truck & Bus has been relying on VOSS SCR lines for its series production for some time. After the enactment of Euro IV and V, VOSS lines for AdBlue® and coolant can now also be found in the Euro VI vehicles of the light/medium (TGM/TGL) and heavy (TGX/TGS) models from MAN. Although Euro VI is mandatory only starting in 2014, the series has already been rolled out now.
