VOSS is a supplier for Foton in Brazil

The Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Foton has named 34 suppliers in Brazil for the local production of its ten-ton Foton 10 – 16DT. VOSS, with its fittings and fluid handling lines, is one of the verified companies.

Foton’s prototype is in the final phase of test driving. As part of that, technical tests are taking place in various regions of Brazil. According to the company, the 10 – 16DT will be the first model of the brand to be produced in Brazil.

In comparison to the Chinese original, important technical changes were undertaken. For example, the new suspension has proven to be much better suited for the dominant conditions in Brazil.

Commencement of the production operation in Brazil is planned for the first half of 2016. In accordance with the original plans of the Chinese auto manufacturer, the factory will be built in Guaiba, which is located in Greater Porto Alegre in the federal state Rio Grande do Sul.
